Ridgeflow Ventilation Unit

Condensation can be a conservatory’s worst enemy. It’s as natural as breathing (in fact breathing is one of its main causes), but with our help you can control it. Good ventilation is the key.

What causes condensation?

Natural ventilation has been virtually eliminated by modern materials and construction methods. The benefit of this is that buildings are much less draughty nowadays. The downside is condensation. The type of ventilation we will recommend for your conservatory depends on size, shape and, above all, aspect in relation to the sun. If this all sounds dauntingly complex and technical, simply leave everything to your us. The patented Ridgeflow ventilation unit is mechanically assisted and thermostatically controlled to give conservatories self-control. Then there’s the Trickle Ventilation system, also patented, which harnesses the natural upward movement of warm air to carry moisture to the apex of the roof and allow it to percolate outside.

Roof Vent

Rain sensor thermostat

Other innovations include roof vents with thermostats and rain sensors for automatic opening and closing. Suddenly, a conservatory for all seasons is a beautiful dream that can come true - bringing sunlight and a delightful sense of space into your home; making life more enjoyable in all kinds of ways; enhancing the value of your property too. All our roofs are approved by the British Board of Agrément - the authoritative body which assesses and registers innovative building products.

Ultrashade

Polycarbonate

Ultrashade is an effective alternative to conservatory roof blinds at a fraction of the cost. Using specialised coating technology on the internal face of the 16mm clear polycarbonate, the white rattan pattern running transversely across the panel gives pleasing aesthetics while offering gentle shade.

The standard finish is clear polycarbonate which provides high resistance to heat loss, giving you improved energy efficiency. Optional bronze, Opal and combined Opal/Bronze provide greater protection from summer heat gains. Furthermore, Heatguard polycarbonate features a special reflective coating to reduce penetration by the sun's heat.
